The University of Arizona’s UrBrain (Undergraduate Readying for Burgeoning Research for American Indian Neuroscientists) program is designed to provide the foundation for nurturing the abilities of AI/AN participants. This project will: provide UrBrain Dine College (DC) participants with the opportunity to learn laboratory techniques and application of research methodologies; increase the matriculation and retention of AI/AN students into master-level biomedical programs; and identify and discuss with tribal elders the neuroscience issues facing the community and ways to address them.
