November has been a busy month for the U of A Indigenous Resilience Center!
November has been a busy month: the Indigenous Resilience Center (IRes) has recently joined the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) which was held this year in Phoenix, AZ, attended the 2024 National AISES Conference in San Antonio, San Texas, and travelled to the Waverley Street Foundation's inaugural Cultivating Community 2024 global grantee partner gathering held in Mexico City, Mexico. In addition, IRes team, including associated faculty, did several presentations such as a TED talk at Centennial Hall and a workshop at the STAR School in Flagstaff. They also visited Tohono O'odham Nation and Colorado River Indian Tribes, as well as honored the life of Dr. Francine C. Gachupin.
