2023 Horses Connecting Communities Across The Navajo Nation
When
For anyone on Navajo this summer, please join us for this year's Horses Connecting Communities Annual Meeting or share with friends/family. This year's event will be held on June 17-18, 2023 from 9am-4pm at the Diné College Rodeo Arena in Tsaile, AZ.
This event is free and open to the public!
This conference honors the legacy of the horse in Navajo culture by sharing traditional horse songs and stories, providing education for horse health, and centering Navajo equine professionals. We especially encourage anybody interested in pursuing careers in Veterinary Medicine or equine related fields. Free lunch provided for all registered participants!
Horses Connecting Communities is brought to you by the following sponsors & partners: UA American Indian Studies, the Indigenous Resilience Center, the Agnes Nelms Haury Program in Social & Environmental Justice, the UA Provost's Investment Funds, and Diné College Land Grant Office, UA College of Veterinary Medicine, CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and UA Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program.
